Inductor Engineer RoleAbout the Position

Knowles Corporation is seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Inductor Engineer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge inductors. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electromagnetic theory and inductor design principles, as well as proficiency in electromagnetic simulation tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop inductors for various applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams and suppliers to translate designs into high-quality products.
  • Develop test methods and qualification plans to demonstrate product performance.
  • Analyze and simulate inductor performance using electromagnetic simulation tools.
  • Develop and validate prototypes to meet customer and product requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during product testing and validation.
  • Optimize inductor designs for cost-effectiveness and manufacturability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for performance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Prepare and present technical documentation and reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field with 5+ years of experience designing inductors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management and organizational skills.
