Electrical Design Engineer

CV Library is working with a leading Building Services Consultancy to find an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their design team.
The consultancy offers a range of services including Surveys, Feasibility Studies, Report and Advisory Work, Design, Building Modelling and Thermal Simulation, Construction Monitoring and Supervision, Project Management, Energy Advice, BREEAM Assessments, and Expert Witness.
The consultancy has experience working on various types of projects including Commercial, Leisure, Retail, Residential, Mixed Use, Education, Healthcare, Industrial, Scientific, Technology, Historic, and Law & Order.
The PositionAs the Senior Electrical Design Engineer, your role will involve the following key areas:
- Collaborate with the design team to provide excellent client care and reporting throughout the project life cycle.
- Conduct site surveys as required and prepare detailed reports.
- Develop and deliver high-quality technical and report writing skills.
- Carry out condition surveys and feasibility studies.
- Produce designs, calculations, room data sheets, equipment schedules, specifications, and other technical information to meet the project stage/level.
- Conduct defects inspections and snagging, and input into the witnessing of commissioning.
- Support the supervision and mentoring of junior engineers, and provide technical support to others while encouraging innovation and engineering development.
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with:
- A degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as building services or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Background in Electrical Engineering / Building Services design environment.
- Strong technical report writing skills.
- Experience using Amtech, IESVE, AutoCAD, and/or 3D Revit software packages.
- Excellent MS Office skills, particularly in MS Excel.
