Account Handler

We are seeking an experienced Account Handler to join our Commercial Team in Southampton. As an Account Handler, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service and ensuring the effective servicing of client accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Take ownership of a portfolio of cross-class commercial clients and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Collaborate with experienced Account Executives and Directors to deliver outstanding service to our clients.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of customer details and entry into our system.
- Obtain renewal terms for customers and explore alternative options to provide the best available solution.
- Prepare renewal closings and ensure cover is bound by renewal date.
- Liaise with clients and insurers to confirm cover, process policies, and chase outstanding documentation.
- Deal with account queries and credit control matters, highlighting any concerns.
- Apply fundamental legal and regulatory policies in relation to internal policies and the insurance contract.
- Maintain accurate records and process in accordance with our agreed procedures.
- Commercial insurance knowledge is essential, with a strong understanding of the industry and its regulations.
- Holding or working towards a Chartered Insurance Institute qualification is desirable, as is being educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
- Experience of working to targets within a regulated, measurable framework and achieving Service Level Agreements is essential.
- Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Highly accurate with a strong attention to detail, using initiative to assist team members.
- Fully proficient in Acturis and eligible to work in the UK.
