About This Role

Are you passionate about supporting individuals affected by dementia? Do you enjoy meeting new people and being part of a team?

This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in your community as a Group Support Volunteer for the Alzheimer's Society. As a friendly face at our groups, you'll welcome and engage with people affected by dementia, ensuring they feel comfortable and included.

The role involves setting up and tidying away after each session, providing refreshments, and helping participants access support and information. You'll work closely with our team to create a welcoming environment that promotes socialisation and meaningful activities.

We're seeking a dedicated volunteer to join our walking group in Hylands Park, Chelmsford, which meets once a month on a Tuesday morning. Online training will be provided to ensure you have the necessary skills to excel in this role.

As a valued member of our team, you'll receive travel and parking expenses reimbursement upon submission of an expenses form. If you're interested in this opportunity, please review the required skills and qualifications below.
