Assembly Technician - Worthing

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly of electrical wiring and cable assemblies according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Read and interpret schematics for the assembly of electrical wiring.
  2. Plan and complete assembly tasks, including electrical and testing activities.
  3. Produce high-quality electrical, fibre optic, and hybrid cable assemblies according to specifications.
  4. Conduct testing of cable assemblies under supervision to verify compliance with customer specifications.
  5. Work closely with the project coordinating team to deliver the production schedule, advising on timescales.
  6. Adhere to company safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental practices.

Requirements

  1. Experience in an electrical engineering/manufacturing environment.
  2. Ability to accurately read and understand electrical schematics and assembly drawings.
  3. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, with hands-on exposure to:
  • Mechanical assembly
  • Point-to-point wiring
  • Cable and harness work
  • Use of torque and crimping tools
  • Soldering
  • Computer-aided testing
Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)Attention to detail, ensuring all work meets high-quality standards.
