About the role you are considering

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a skilled Electrical Test Operations Specialist to join their team. As an experienced professional, you will be responsible for supervising test execution activities within the payload Assembly Integration and Test facility.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring adherence to test safety measures and procedures during payload testing, including electrical and RF safety;
  • Participating in the definition and review of standard bay layouts;
  • Conducting thorough handovers to the next Test Operations Support engineer, followed by a follow-up email to ensure key messages are understood;
  • E nsuring all tasks are completed to the correct quality level and escalating any issues to operations management;
  • Participating in Practical Problem Solving (PPS) sessions to identify root causes and escalate as necessary;

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Extensive experience in electrical test environments;
  • A minimum HND level or equivalent industry experience in electrical/electronic disciplines, electrical test engineering, or RF & communications;
  • Strong electrical/RF test measurement skills;
  • Problem-solving aptitudes;
  • Clear and confident communication with team members;
  • Presentation skills to convey project status to peers, managers, and internal customers;
  • Comfortable dealing with challenging situations and disciplined work practices;
  • Good time management to ensure the team remains productive and tasks are ready for the next operator;
  • Positive and constructive feedback delivery to local teams;
  • Understanding of technical documents, drawings, and procedures;
  • Experience with procedure/process control;
  • Workplace health and safety awareness;
  • Flexibility to adapt to different working patterns, including the ability to work off-site (UK and abroad).

This role requires Security Check (SC) clearance, which necessitates residing continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, among other criteria and requirements.

In return for your expertise, you can expect a competitive salary of around £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on location and experience, plus additional benefits that support your well-being and career growth.
