Company Overview:
The Supply Register is a managed service working alongside 4 large multi academy trusts within Devon & Cornwall.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs at North Cornwall Academy.
Position Overview:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the schools SENCO to support students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the tailored assistance they require to thrive academically and socially.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Assisting classroom teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations for students with SEN.
- Helping students develop essential life skills, independence, and confidence.
Desirable qualifications include experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs, patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the diverse needs of students with SEN. Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are advantageous but not essential. A willingness to undergo relevant training and continuous professional development is also required.
