Job Title: Environmental Crime Enforcement Officer

Kingdom Group is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Environmental Crime Enforcement Officer to join our team. As a key member of our enforcement team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining public health, safety, and environmental standards by enforcing environmental laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enforce environmental regulations and local by-laws relating to littering, fly-tipping, graffiti, waste management, noise pollution, and other environmental concerns.
  • Patrol assigned areas to detect violations and ensure compliance with environmental laws.
  • Investigate reports of environmental offenses from the public and respond promptly to complaints.
  • Issue fixed penalty notices (FPNs) and citations to individuals or businesses for non-compliance with environmental laws.
  • Prepare and serve legal documents, including warning notices and fines, in accordance with local laws.
  • Investigate environmental offenses such as illegal dumping, abandoned vehicles, and unlawful waste disposal by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing case files.
  • Use surveillance equipment, including cameras, to monitor and collect evidence of environmental crimes.
  • Report findings to senior management and collaborate with legal teams to pursue prosecutions when necessary.
Court Proceedings and Legal Support:
  • Attend court proceedings and present evidence as required to support legal action against environmental offenders.
Learning and Development:
  • Participate in our training course to gain insight into daily duties, current legislation, communication, and interaction aspects of the role, earning a recognized qualification in environmental awareness.
