Job Description

A permanent Reliability Engineer position has become available at a long-standing pharmaceutical client of Blackfield Associates in Hertfordshire.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Production, Projects, Facilities, and Engineering teams to identify and mitigate reliability risks.

The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing effective reliability processes, improving overall equipment performance, and reducing downtime and costs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing and sustaining a world-class reliability program aligned with cGMP and GEP standards.
  • Conducting root cause analyses to reduce losses and optimize processes.
  • Performing asset analyses (MTBF, MTTR, OEE, TEEP) to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Guiding teams in reliability risk assessments, including FMEA, RCA, and TPM.
  • Providing training in diagnostic troubleshooting, predictive technologies, and modern maintenance strategies.

Requirements:

  • A degree in engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in reliability engineering practices (e.g., RCA, FMEA).
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance methods.
  • Awareness of health, safety, and quality management systems.
