About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Lounge. As a key member of our kitchen team, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional food quality and service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery and high-quality food production.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menu plans, ensuring alignment with company standards and customer preferences.
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and plating to maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs for kitchen staff, focusing on skills development, safety protocols, and customer service excellence.
  • Contribute to the development of new menu items, specials, and promotions, ensuring they meet customer preferences and company standards.
  • Monitor and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery, including managing labor schedules, inventory, and supplies.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including inventory management, stock control, and labor scheduling.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective training programs, focusing on skills development, safety protocols, and customer service excellence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery.
