About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting secondary education across Bath and NE Somerset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a smooth and productive learning environment.
  • Manage the behavior of students, promoting engagement and motivation in their work.
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, adapting to the needs of students and teachers.
  • Ensure the classroom environment is conducive to learning, maintaining a positive and respectful atmosphere.
  • Support students with their learning, providing guidance and encouragement to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Mark and assess work where necessary, providing constructive feedback to students.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience working with secondary school students in any field, demonstrating a passion for education and a commitment to supporting student learning.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to manage behavior and create a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, adapting to the needs of students and teachers.
  • Ability to work flexibly, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
