Manager, GB Energy Modelling Team

We own and operate the high-voltage electricity transmission network across the north of Scotland, ensuring a safe and reliable supply of electricity.

The salary for this position is £62,400 - £75,200 per year, with a performance-related bonus and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing, and family.

About the Role

This role requires expertise in energy system modelling, creating critical insight into strategic planning for the electricity transmission system.

  • Conduct energy system modelling to ensure robust transmission system requirements analysis within the GB energy context and develop and maintain a GB energy system model to inform network plan development.
  • Lead a team of analysts, engineers, and modellers to create best practice in energy modelling and build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand factors impacting our network plans.
Key Responsibilities
  • Quantitative analytical capability and ability to handle large data sets.
  • In-depth knowledge of the GB energy industry structure and nationally recognised subject matter expert in areas relevant to Transmission System Planning and Investment.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to create an inclusive environment.
