Job Title: Early Help Service Manager

4Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced Early Help Service Manager to join our client based in Ashton Under Lyne.

About the Role:

As an Early Help Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery and quality of services to children and families. You will work under the supervision and guidance of the Head of Service (HOS) and be accountable for physical and financial resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the performance of teams through personnel policies, including induction, supervision, appraisal, disciplinary, and grievance procedures.
  • Provide regular, quality, and reflective supervision for managers within Family Help and Early Help Services.
  • Facilitate group supervisions and other meetings as part of service processes for complex cases.
  • Deliver, develop, and improve services, identifying savings and generating efficiencies.
  • Ensure managers and staff monitor and evaluate their own practice against agreed practice standards in collaboration with children, young people, their families, and carers.
  • Contribute to departmental frameworks, structures, or procedures for performance management across the department.
Requirements:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent within the relevant area.
  • Commitment to continued professional development.
  • Qualification in or willing to work towards a Management qualification.
  • Substantial experience of working with children and families within Targeted Services and/or Children's Social Care.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing staff, budgets, and physical resources.
  • Experience of working with a range of internal and external stakeholders to shape common goals and deliver shared ambitions.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent organisational skills in planning and organising own time and creating work schedules for self and others.
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking.
