The English department at the school is dedicated to developing a lifelong love of language and literature, delivered within the context of their students and the world in which they live. As an English Teacher with Teaching Personnel, you will need to possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT)/Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a relevant English qualification.
  • Experience of teaching Key Stage 3 & 4, with Key Stage 5 experience beneficial but not essential.
  • The ability to plan, prepare, and teach the constantly evolving curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Great time management skills, with a reliable and flexible approach.
  • Ideal experience working with children in the last 5 years.
  • The right to work in the UK.
