Join us as a Lead Physician for Elderly Patient Assessments and play a key role in ensuring that frail elderly patients receive high quality care. The ideal candidate will have experience in making clinical decisions and managing risk, with the ability to prioritise clinical need.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be based on the Frail Elderly Assessment Unit (FEAU) carrying out comprehensive geriatric assessments of frail elderly patients. They will participate in twice weekly MDT meetings for the 30 bed virtual frailty ward and carry out assessments of patients at risk of admission via hot clinics to ensure high quality care is delivered in the right place.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Evidence of foundation competencies
  • Research skills: demonstrates understanding of the principles of research, evidence of relevant academic and research achievements.

Effective communication skills are essential, with the ability to adapt language as appropriate to the situation. We are looking for a doctor who is able to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high quality care.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including flexible working hours, access to ongoing professional development and opportunities for career progression.
