We are recruiting a talented Senior Laboratory Research Scientist to join our Proteomics Scientific Technology Platform (STP) at the Francis Crick Institute. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of biomedical research, driving forward cutting-edge proteomic projects and collaborating with the wider Crick scientific community.

**Job Description**

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of tandem mass tagging (TMT) and label-free quantitative proteomic approaches, applying these methodologies to discovery and translational research at the Crick. They will work closely with collaborators, set up new experiments using available mass spectrometry technologies, and be responsible for driving forward qualitative and quantitative proteomic projects.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Execute experiments from experimental design through sample preparation to data analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with other lab members on research projects.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in proteomics-related bioinformatics tools and software packages.
  • Take initiative in project design and execution.

**Requirements**

  • Hands-on experience working in a proteomics mass spectrometry laboratory.
  • Detailed understanding of proteomics-related bioinformatics and associated software packages.
  • Ability to work confidently and independently, approaching research problems with initiative and flexibility.
