We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Secretary to join our team at Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust.

Salary and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of £26,530 to £29,114 per annum, pro rata, plus a generous NHS pension scheme and extensive staff benefits, including 27 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) and access to on-site gyms and a car lease scheme.

About the Role

As a Medical Secretary, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to our consultant and medical team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Digital dictation or copy typing of patient letters
  • Diary management and minute taking
  • Recording confidential and sensitive information on Trust systems accurately and timely

You will work closely with our existing welcoming team secretary and other medical staff to deliver admin support and contribute to the delivery of our Trust mission.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant secretarial experience in a clinical environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and medical terminology
  • Excellent organisational and diary management skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and consistently meet deadlines
