Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to students with complex behavioural, social, and emotional difficulties.
  • Develop and adapt conventional teaching methods to meet the individual needs of pupils.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to promote engagement and learning.
  • Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework.
  • Update all necessary records accurately as required by school policies.
  • Participate in meetings with colleagues and parents relative to the progress of students.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Mathematics.
  • Experience in teaching Maths at both GCSE and Functional Skills levels.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with complex behavioural, social, and emotional difficulties.
  • Proven ability to manage classes effectively and adopt an inclusive teaching approach.
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills.
  • Willingness to teach additional subjects is desirable.
