Job Title: Service Engineer

Location: Walsall
Hours: 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £31,000 - £36,000 Starting Salary

About the Role:

The Service Engineer will be responsible for carrying out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis. This will involve reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area, as well as completing comprehensive training to get fully competent on all machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis
  2. Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area
  3. Complete comprehensive training to get fully competent on all machinery and equipment
  4. Spares placed in van overnight

Requirements:

  1. Experience with plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, or similar equipment; automotive technicians/motor trade will also be suitable
  2. Engine diagnostics and some basic electrical skills
  3. Ideally hold a level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject
