Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: up to £47,000 OTE (including £25,000 - £41,000 basic depending on experience and qualifications, plus uncapped bonus)

Hours: (42) Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4.30pm, plus Saturday mornings on a rota.

As a skilled MOT Tester, you will play a vital role in our Service team by delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and repair. You will work alongside experienced technicians to carry out vehicle services and repairs, and MOT tests in line with ministry guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out MOT tests in line with ministry guidelines
  • Reporting any failures to the Workshop Controller, advising work required for the vehicle to be road worthy
  • Occasionally supporting in completing repairs
  • Completing all relevant paperwork and liaising with customers
  • Carrying out any ad-hoc duties as and when required
  • Vehicle servicing and repairs

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience (brand or non-brand), a full and valid UK driving licence, and be a qualified MOT tester. You will be self-motivated, able to support your team, ambitious, and eager to learn, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of work.
