About the Role

Lookers Gateshead Nissan is seeking a skilled and experienced MOT Tester to join their dynamic workshop team. As a key member of the service team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct MOT tests in accordance with ministry guidelines and regulations.
  • Report any vehicle failures to the Workshop Controller, providing detailed information on the necessary repairs to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Support the team in completing repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork and documentation, including customer interactions and vehicle records.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop.
  • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality vehicle servicing and repairs, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification.
  • Have a valid UK driving license and be a qualified MOT tester.
  • Possess a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair principles, with a focus on light vehicles.
  • Be self-motivated, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be committed to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
