Job Title: Senior Contracts Manager

Thales is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join our Defence Commercial, Legal & Contracts team in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to proactively manage and directly influence our bids and projects. The successful candidate will have a commercial background in the defence sector, with experience of managing contracts/risks and/or a legal background combined with commercial experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advice and recommendations to the business on commercial issues, risks, liabilities and opportunities.
  • Commercial proposition development for major win-business campaigns.
  • Support senior management and participate in commercial negotiations with customers, consortium partners and in conjunction with Procurement, sub-contractors and other 3rd parties.
  • Provide bid and project teams advice, recommendations and costings pertaining to UK and International contracts in relation to Direct Selling Costs.
  • Respond to and negotiate customers proposed contractual agreements and Contract 'Changes'.
About You:

We are looking for someone with a strong commercial background, excellent analytical and written skills, and the ability to understand pricing, risks and mitigation of contracts. You will also have demonstrable experience working within a complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-site organisation.
