We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HIV Pharmacist to join our team at Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust. As a Senior HIV Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in providing expert care and guidance to patients living with HIV.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for developing and implementing clinical pharmacy services that promote optimal patient outcomes. You will have the chance to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Clinical Pharmacy Services: Provide expert advice and guidance on HIV-related medication management, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Provide Education and Training: Deliver educational programs to multidisciplinary colleagues and patient/carer groups on relevant subject areas, including HIV-related topics.
  • Contribute to Quality Improvement Initiatives: Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and reducing medication errors.
  • Advise on Medication Management: Provide expert advice on medication management, including prescribing, dispensing, and monitoring of medications.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Vocational Master's Degree in Pharmacy: Completion of pre-registration training required.
  • Registered as a Practicing Pharmacist: General Pharmaceutical Council registration required.
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy Practice: Equivalent relevant postgraduate qualification or experience preferred.
  • Continual Personal and Professional Development: Evidence of ongoing professional development required.
