Project Financial Efficiency Specialist

Our construction team in St Helens, United Kingdom, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in the financial management of our projects.
Competitive salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job Description:The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing detailed cost estimates and budgets, conducting thorough cost analysis and financial reporting, and negotiating contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
Responsibilities:- Develop and manage detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Conduct thorough cost analysis and financial reporting, highlighting areas of improvement and providing actionable recommendations.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring fair prices and favorable terms.
- Monitor and manage project cash flows and budgets, maintaining up-to-date records and communicating changes to stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, preferably from a reputable institution.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and best practices, including RICS guidelines.
- Proficiency in cost management software and financial reporting tools, such as Sage or Autodesk.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel occasionally for business meetings.
