About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Buying Assistant to join our team at Asda Stores Ltd. As a Buying Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Buyer in all areas, including sales tracking and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Buyer in sales tracking and analysis, ensuring accurate and efficient data management.
  • Keep admin up to date, including line listing, cost and retail changes, and liaise with suppliers to ensure deadlines and tasks are met.
  • Impute into decisions on ranges and promotions, and answer and resolve store/supplier queries.
  • Raise and reconcile internal and external invoices to the category, and assist the Buyer with competitor research and day-to-day trading of your category.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Buying Assistant or a Buyer.
  • Strong commercial awareness and being highly numerate.
  • A strong understanding of customer requirements, market trends, and competitors.
