Graduate Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Liverpool. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and providing supervision to students in a variety of subjects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide supervision of classes in Maths, English, Science, Geography, History, or Spanish in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Supervise students, ensuring they are engaged and on task with the work set by the class teacher.
  • Create a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Confidently manage a class of mixed-ability pupils.
  • Provide feedback to the class teacher on student progress and return feedback to students under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Ensure all school policies are adhered to, including child protection, and report any concerns to the appropriate person.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with the 11-16 age group.
  • Flexibility, creativity, patience, and a sense of humor.
  • An Enhanced DBS (on the update service).
  • A CV covering your last 10 years of employment.
  • The legal right to work in the UK.
  • An overseas police check, if applicable.
  • Two references (covering the last two years).
