Job DescriptionYou will be working in a small manufacturing team, assembling and commissioning machines, machine modules, and sub-assemblies using engineering drawings and 3D models. Your responsibilities will include following department procedures, assembling parts to required specifications, and identifying problems with assemblies/parts.
Salary and BenefitsWe offer an attractive salary package, pension, and health insurance. The estimated salary for this position is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Apprentice-trained mechanical technician.
- Able to read engineering drawings and understand Bill of Materials.
- Ability to understand mechanical design assembly.
- Previous assembly experience in a machine manufacturing environment.
- Experience assembling large fabricated parts to engineering drawings.
- Ability to handle various parts, including sheet metal, machined, and electrical components.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good numeracy.
- Computer literate.
- Hold a counterbalance forklift license (desirable).
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing (desirable).
