Special Education Support Professional


Overview:


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to support students with special educational needs in a well-established school based in the Southend area. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing tailored learning plans, providing one-on-one support, and collaborating with teachers and parents to ensure individual learning needs are met.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans for students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Provide one-on-one support and guidance to students with SEN.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor and assess student progress.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with SEN.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student development and achievements.

Qualifications:


  • A valid DBS certificate is required.
  • Proven experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN) is essential.
  • A relevant qualification in education or SEN is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Day-to-day:


  • Work closely with students, teachers, and parents to ensure individual learning needs are met.
  • Adapt teaching materials and methods to suit the individual needs of students with SEN.
  • Provide regular progress reports and feedback to relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance SEN knowledge and skills.
