Job Summary

Group Shared Services Ltd is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead the Bank Reconciliation Team. As Head of Bank Reconciliation Team Lead, you will be responsible for reviewing bank reconciliations, liaising with finance teams, and ensuring end-to-end bank processes are appropriate and effective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own granular client-level bank reconciliations to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Drive process improvement by working with External Reporting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Record to Report teams to ensure processes are effective.
  • Develop a shared service strategy and target operating model for the Bank Reconciliation Team to support multiple regional European operations.
  • Provide a robust and industry-leading reconciliation and control environment, ensuring timely follow-up and remediation work is applied where necessary.
  • Support internal, external, and client audits, ensuring robust audit trails and evidence are maintained.
  • Develop and maintain policies to ensure strong reconciliation disciplines are front-and-centre.
  • Lead the transformational agenda to ensure processes are fully optimized to Group Shared Services Ltd requirements while delivering best-in-class performance.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in managing large teams in a high-volume processing environment.
  • Working knowledge of accounting double-entry and reconciliation processes.
  • Working knowledge of reconciliation software/platforms is desirable.
  • Technical understanding of cash management financial systems is vital, with previous experience of Oracle cash systems being desirable.
  • Financial Services experience, with debt management knowledge being desirable.
