Job Overview

A Regional Business Development Manager is required to join a leading global Mechanical Engineering Manufacturer. The successful candidate will focus on developing new business opportunities and managing key accounts for mechanical handling related equipment across the North of the UK, from Leeds up to an including Scotland.

The company offers a competitive salary range of £40,000 - £45,000, with a bonus structure and additional benefits including a hybrid company car, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, phone & laptop, and more.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have experience selling mechanical handling products or technical mechanical engineering products / solutions ideally within manufacturing, food, biomass waste / power generation or similar. Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing new business opportunities and managing key accounts for mechanical handling related equipment.
  • Maintaining mechanical handling product and system sales with demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation to achieve targets.
  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance as well as providing end solution / application support for all customer needs / requirements.


Requirements

The successful candidate will possess relevant industry experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer or similar. Experience selling or managing key accounts for mechanical handling related equipment / MRO products is highly desirable. A full clean driving license and willingness to operate remotely with travel to customer sites across the North of the UK, including Scotland are essential.
