Deputy Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Deputy Financial Controller to join our finance team. The Deputy Financial Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of transactional functions.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of transactional functions
- Manage staff and effective team working
- Experience of working with spreadsheets, word, databases, working with large complex data volumes on spreadsheets
- Reporting on PFI schemes and Finance Leases in an NHS environment
- Knowledge of NHS Accounting Policies and procedures as recognised with UK IFRS
- Knowledge of NHS funding and regulation (NHSE, ICB, Local Authority)
- Knowledge of financial coding and ledger and sub-ledger management
- Knowledge of financial controls and experience of maintaining these
- CCAB Qualified
- Education to degree level
- IT Literate - Spreadsheets, database, pivot tables, ECDL or equivalent
- Five years of working in a financial environment with at least 3 years of financial and capital accounts experience in an NHS environment
