Job Title: Manufacturing Transformation Lead

Location: Isle of Wight - Cowes

Salary: Circa £65,000 commensurate with skills and experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Transformation Lead to join our Radar team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering the Cowes manufacturing transformation from low-quantity manufacture to higher throughput.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Cowes manufacturing transformation from low-quantity manufacture to higher throughput.
  • Create multiple assembly areas for equipment cabinet production and upgrade.
  • Generate a systems integration area for an experimental & third-party system.
  • Enhance the In-Service support capabilities to be world class in order to continue to meet challenging availability regimes, across spares, repairs, and major refurbishment.
  • Ensure that material storage meets the needs across the manufacturing projects and increase manufacturing capacity for core radar products & provision for growth opportunities.
  • Lead by example in supporting a safe system of work ensuring compliance with all company SHE policies and procedures.
  • Closely manage the coordination of activities across production engineering, logistics, and assembly integration and test (AIT) teams for maximum efficiency.
  • Provide assurance that you and your team are trained and compliant with all relevant internal, legislative, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
  • Give regular feedback to team leaders and peers on their individual contribution and performance, taking appropriate corrective action where performance of the team falls below defined standards.

  • Manufacturing delivery background.
