Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers in delivering high-quality education to primary school students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons to promote student learning and development.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Support students with their academic and social development, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem.
  • Prepare classroom materials and resources, ensuring that lessons are well-planned and effective.
  • Assist with the assessment and tracking of student progress, helping teachers to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student learning and well-being.

Requirements

  • A recent graduate with a degree in any discipline.
  • A passion for working with children and a desire to pursue a career in education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, with a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
