Education Support Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic school in South Shields. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers in delivering lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students with their learning in a variety of subjects.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning experience for students.
- Support individual and small group work with students to reinforce learning, promoting academic progress and confidence.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering a sense of community and respect among students.
- Work with students who require additional support, ensuring their needs are met and they feel valued and included.
- Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and development, contributing to informed decision-making and targeted support.
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support when necessary, promoting a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Support students during extra-curricular activities and school trips, enhancing their overall educational experience.
- A degree in any subject, demonstrating a strong academic foundation and potential for future growth.
- A genuine passion for working with young people, with a commitment to making a positive impact on their lives.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, enabling effective collaboration with teachers and students.
- Ability to work as part of a team, building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in education, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be provided.
