As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students with their learning in a variety of subjects. You will assist in creating an engaging classroom environment, offering targeted support to students while gaining hands-on experience in the Secondary education setting. This role is ideal for graduates looking to develop their skills and knowledge while contributing to student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
  • Support individual and small group work with students to reinforce learning.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work with students who require additional support, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and development.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support when necessary.
  • Support students during extra-curricular activities and school trips.

Requirements:

  • A degree in any subject.
  • A passion for working with young people.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education.
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
