We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Services Manager to lead our Systems Integration / Automation team from our offices in Southampton. The successful candidate will report to the General Manager and be responsible for managing a team of Automation Engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of Automation Engineers to deliver high-quality solutions to our clients.
- Conduct pre-contract site surveys to ensure accurate project planning.
- Collaborate with the tendering team to prepare quotations for clients.
- Analyze resources and allocate them effectively in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Investigate and develop solutions to meet client requirements.
- Select and purchase equipment to meet project needs.
- Prepare reports to communicate project progress to stakeholders.
- Define control system documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Configure and program multiple PLC, HMI, SCADA, and telemetry systems.
- Work with various industrial control systems, including Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, and Mitsubishi.
Requirements:
- A background in senior automation engineering roles.
- Previous experience leading a team of automation engineers.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in NEC 3/4 contract environments.
- Knowledge of the water/wastewater industry is advantageous.
