Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Systems Specialist to join our team in Southampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing system integration and automation projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-contract site surveys to identify project requirements
  • Collaborate with tendering teams to prepare quotations
  • Analyze resources and allocate personnel as needed
  • Select and procure equipment
  • Develop control system documentation
  • Ensure project completion meets program and budget targets

In addition to primary responsibilities, the Automation Systems Specialist may be required to configure and program multiple PLC, HMI, SCADA, and telemetry systems, including Mitsubishi (A, FX, and Q range) and Beijer HMIs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Automation Engineer
  • Leadership experience in managing skilled engineers
  • Excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivation and hard work
  • Relevant engineering qualifications or equivalent experience

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
