Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work on a 1:1 basis with a academically challenging child in KS2, providing support and guidance to help them reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to a child with challenging behavior, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the child's teacher and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring that the child's needs are met and their learning is engaging and fun.
  • Monitor and record the child's progress, providing regular feedback to the teacher and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to ensure that you are up-to-date with the latest teaching strategies and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care or a Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • DBS clearance (dated within the last 12 months or on the update service).
  • Experience working with children with challenging behavior.
