SEN Teaching Assistant

Empowering Learning is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants for various assignments in primary schools across Tameside and Oldham.
Responsibilities- Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Support students with their learning through one-on-one assistance and small group interventions.
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Promote the social and emotional development of students, fostering their confidence and independence.
- Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other support staff to meet the individual needs of students.
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of teaching resources and materials.
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3).
- Experience in a similar role within an educational setting, especially with ASD, Down syndrome, global developmental delay, and behaviours that challenge.
- Thorough understanding of the curriculum and learning objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Caring and compassionate approach towards students.
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
