Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Early Years

Smile Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant with experience in Early Years to join a welcoming primary school in Smethwick. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a Reception Class, supporting young learners in their crucial early stages of education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support and assist with small groups of children in the Reception class.
  • Help implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring all children reach their developmental milestones.
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities.
  • Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to both the teacher and parents/carers.
  • Support with classroom management and create a positive learning environment.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Have previous experience working in Early Years, ideally in a Reception class setting.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Be enthusiastic, patient, and supportive, with a passion for working with young children.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team and communicate confidently with both children and adults.
