Maintenance Technician

Kingston Barnes Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Stonehouse. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our high-precision manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond promptly to machine breakdowns, minimizing downtime and improving machine reliability.
- Execute preventative and reactive maintenance, following plans set by the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer.
- Apply root cause analysis and 5S to drive continuous improvement and solve persistent issues.
- Work cost-consciously to identify savings and efficiencies.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance and accurately log all tasks in an electronic system.
- Collaborate with and train operators, apprentices, and craft workers in first-line and planned maintenance.
- Liaise with suppliers for machine spares and third-party support when needed.
- Promote quality and safety procedures to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and meet customer expectations.
- Strong fault-finding skills in both electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
