Transforming Healthcare with Data Solutions

Bupa is revolutionizing the way we approach healthcare, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to diagnose, treat, and care for people throughout their lives. As a key member of our data architecture team, you will play a pivotal role in designing data solutions and shaping our technology roadmaps and standards in the Data domain.

As the Lead Data Solutions Architect, your expertise will be central to translating business and technology requirements into data solution architecture and designs, supporting delivery implementation, and driving best practice. You will educate technology and business colleagues on data models, technologies, and solution designs, and contribute to the development of Bupa's data strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop solution options, architecture, and designs, and support the selection of data technologies to address business requirements across Bupa.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on data for projects and programmes, collaborating with other architects to shape the data components underpinning the solution being created.
  • Maintain relevant data architecture and design documentation for one or more products/applications/domains.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to developers on all aspects of data architecture and standards, ensuring alignment to enterprise standards and policies.
  • Design, document, and implement data governance processes and controls for managing data, and data quality approaches solution and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support and implement the approach for data migration, including data mapping, data migration designs, data migration testing, and execution.
  • Develop and refine enterprise-grade data patterns, blueprints, processes, and related enterprise artifacts as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a data architect in a large, complex organisation, ideally within the insurance or healthcare domains.
  • Expertise in data integration, data management, and data consumption techniques.
  • Solid understanding of operational data stores and various database technologies.
  • Technically strong, combined with business and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent ability to elicit and evaluate business and technical requirements as they pertain to data solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
