Data Implementation Specialist

We're looking for an exceptional Data Implementation Specialist to join our team at Tesco. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and be part of shaping the future of data-driven decision-making in retail.

About the Role

In this exciting position, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining analytics tracking code, as well as configuring and testing software solutions. Your primary goal will be to ensure seamless integration of data sources via web APIs and guarantee data quality assurance processes are followed.

As a Data Implementation Specialist, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Content, and Marketing, to collect business requirements and translate them into effective tracking requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coding, QA, and configuration of analytics tracking code
  • Implementing TMS (GTM) changes and supporting advanced platforms implementation through TMS
  • Integrating data sources via web APIs
  • Ensuring data quality assurance processes are followed, including implementation, measurement, and user acceptance testing
Requirements
  • Highly numerate with a University degree of 2:1 or higher in a quantitative discipline or relevant experience
  • Experience in Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with proficiency in Git and GitHub
  • Exposure or working knowledge of tracking implementations for Adobe and Google Analytics 4, including technical API methods
  • Working knowledge of handling APIs, event listeners, and vanilla JavaScript

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities. You must be able to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate a passion for delivering high-quality results.
