Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Football Programme Leader to join our team at St Edward's School. As a key member of our sports department, you will be responsible for leading and developing our football programme, working closely with the Head of Football to drive ambition and success at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive football programme that meets the needs of our students and the school's strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with the Head of Football to plan and deliver strategic developments in football, including the development of football coaches and building strong links with local clubs and academies.
  • Assist in the recruitment of young, aspirational football players into the school and drive ambition and success at all levels within the football club.
  • Coach across all age groups and play a key role in performance level football within the school.
  • Work with the school's development and partnerships department to deliver a far-reaching programme in the community.

Requirements:

  • Experience of playing or coaching performance level football and experience of working with elite or aspirational football players.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, with a strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
