Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our team in providing outreach services to women at risk of or being exploited through the sex industry.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals. As an Outreach Specialist, you will work closely with our team to deliver a proactive service, focusing on frontline and outreach work with those impacted by sex work and sexual violence.

You will be responsible for building and sustaining trusting relationships with women who have been exploited, providing them with access to a wide range of services while acting as a referral and support gateway.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • To deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, person-led exploitation outreach support services across Gwent.
  • To understand the issues surrounding sexual exploitation and community-based sex work.
  • To engage with women who are impacted by sex work and victims of sexual exploitation, building ongoing relationships to facilitate access to services.
  • To identify cases of sexual exploitation and provide appropriate support and advocacy.
  • To undertake risk assessments with/on individuals, locations, and activities and review accordingly.
  • To develop support plans in line with the needs of those we support and review accordingly.
Requirements

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to work independently and as part of a team. You will require a valid driving licence and access to a car for business use.

A current salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience) offers a competitive package for this rewarding role.
