The Scottish Ambulance Service is seeking an experienced Critical Care Physician in Paediatrics to join our team. This is a full-time position, based at the ScotSTAR West base at Glasgow Airport.
Key Responsibilities- Transfer critically ill or injured children from one hospital to another using our Paediatric Intensive Care Road Ambulance
- Collaborate with the aeromedical team to transport patients by air on rotary and fixed-wing aircraft operated by the SAS and the Coastguard Search and Rescue helicopter
To be successful in this role, you should have a CCT or equivalent in paediatric intensive care medicine, paediatric anaesthesia, adult intensive care and/or anaesthesia, or paediatric emergency medicine. A strong understanding of the principles of critical care, excellent clinical skills, and effective communication abilities are essential.
