Job Title: Bus Fleet Mechanic and Maintenance Specialist
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
About the Role
This exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Bus Fleet Mechanic and Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Arriva London South Limited. As a PSV Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and preventative maintenance, diagnostic fault finding, and reactive repairs to a fleet of commercially operated London buses. Your role will involve working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on ensuring that all vehicles meet strict standards set by both Arriva and the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency).
You will work closely with our team to maintain the highest level of vehicle reliability, ensuring that our fleet is always operational and meets the required safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintenance, inspection, and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards
- Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability
- MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns, and quality checks
- Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA)

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualifications for PSV/HGV/Light vehicle maintenance and repair - Minimum of NVQ Level 2 or any equivalent international qualification (will require confirmation)
- If not qualified, applications will be considered from candidates with at least 5 years' experience in repair and maintenance of PSV/HGV/Light vehicle
- A full UK driving licence (6 points or less)
- Ability to pass fit for a PCV pre-employment medical
