We are seeking a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our Engineering team at Transport UK London Bus. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining our fleet of buses across London.

At Transport UK London Bus, we operate bus services across London on behalf of TfL, running over 9% of the London bus network and employing around 2,700 employees across six depots in Central, South and West London.

As one of the fastest-growing operators in the capital, we offer a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative team. Our buses carry over 150 million passengers a year on TfL's contracted bus network.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, repair and maintain our buses to ensure they meet safety and quality standards
  • Investigate and diagnose mechanical and electronic faults using fleet management technical computer systems
  • Work 12-hour shifts with four days/nights on and four days/nights off

What You'll Need
  • NVQ level 2 qualification for maintenance and repair of public service vehicles or heavy goods vehicles (or an equivalent international qualification)
  • Good standard of Maths and English
  • Able to read and understand instructions and service manuals
  • Familiarity with fleet management technical computer systems
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work flexibly when needed
