About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Business Partner to join our Commercial Finance team at Hargreaves Lansdown plc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our successful product line, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Nurture relationships with key stakeholders to develop an in-depth understanding of our business proposition, clients, and their journeys.
  • Help stakeholders and leadership understand revenue and cost opportunities and how product and journey design impacts financial performance.
  • Work across Financial Control and Commercial Finance to ensure best practice ways of working.
  • Build understanding to co-create our three-year plan and budgets, ensuring risks and opportunities are considered and addressed.
  • Maintain investment analysis, including propositional development, pricing, incentives, and operational investment.
  • Be responsible for the Income Statement and Balance Sheet for underlying and strategic investment.
  • Collaborate with the data team to prepare Finance Management Information, ensuring financials are underpinned by non-financial insights.
  • Take ownership of forecasting, ensuring projections are provided with commercial rationale and activity-driven wherever possible.
  • Develop understanding of new business sales pipeline, conversion, revenue, and direct costs.
  • Work closely with the business and broader Finance team to create accurate profitability analysis.
  • Ensure alignment and compliance with the Consumer Duty framework and our Assessment of Value obligations.
  • Support and lead on competitor analysis to inform propositional investment opportunities, activity, and cost benchmarking.
About You
  • A qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA, or equivalent) with current technical knowledge and post-qualification experience.
  • Ability to understand strategic business goals, including revenue streams and pricing, with the ability to look beyond numbers and understand the wider business context.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills to translate complex financial data into actionable insights and interpret the impact of financial and non-financial commercial decisions.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Initiative-taking, results-oriented, and commercial mindset to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Working Schedule

This role is based in our Bristol head office and offers a hybrid flexible working pattern to enable you to work from home and come into the office around twice a week. We are also happy to consider part-time or condensed hours for the successful candidate.
