Job Overview

The Transformation Unit is seeking a highly skilled Endoscopy Technician to join our team at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of endoscopic procedures.

This is a training post, and successful applicants will start at Band 2, with the opportunity to progress to Band 3 upon completion of necessary skills and/or training.

We are looking for someone who is willing to complete our Decontamination training programme, including off-site training courses specific to their role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test and manually clean flexible endoscopes before placing them into a washer disinfector
  • Unload flexible scopes and place them into storage
  • Deliver clean endoscopes and collect contaminated used endoscopes to/from Service Users around the Trust

Requirements:

  • Educated to GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications/experience
  • NVQ level 2 in Health care or equivalent qualification/experience
